Nederlands: Standbeeld voor het War Memorial van Galashiels. Het stelt een Border Reiver voor. Reivers waren plunderaars in het grensgebied van Engeland en Schotland die vooral in de dertiende eeuw actief waren.
Het beeld is van de hand van Thomas J. Clapperton.
English: The statue in front of the War Memorial in Galashiels, known as the Reiver monument was sculpted by Thomas J. Clapperton (1879 - 1962). Clapperton was born in Galashiels, he studied Galashiels Mechanics Institute where he won a scholarship to study at Glasgow School of Art. In 1906 he set up a studio in London.
