Summary

Description The West German destroyer Zerstörer 2 (D 171) during a fleet exercise, in 1960. Z 2 was commissioned as USS Ringgold (DD-500) and served with the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946. She was transferred to West Germany in 1959 and served until 1981, when she was again transferred to Greece as Kimon (D42). The ship was finally decommissioned and scrapped in 1993.
