Object history
English: 1730s Canaletto received many commissions from Great Britain, this painting was part of a commission of 22 vedute for the Duke of Bedford. Woburn Abbey houses the largest private collection of views of Venice by Canaletto, and 21 of the 24 paintings are displayed in the Dining Room.
