Under all these circumstances, the Earl of DudleysIron takes its proper position in the market, which withBloomfield B.B.H., is the top of all Staffordshire makes,and will relatively, though perhaps gradually, continueto ascend in value, while the present favom-able circum-stances continue to facihtate the desirable results aimedat by the astute and able management which hasalways directed these works. It would be impossible to write a chapter on Stafford-shire without referring to a few of those old Ironmasters,called the leading houses; those above mentioned allbelong to this class. W. Barrows and Sons, pro-prietors of the Bloomfield, Factory,^ and Tipton, IronWorks, have one hundred puddhng fiurnaces, quite thelargest number of any iron works in South Staf-fordshire, and produce 1,000 tons of finished Iron perweek. The brand is B.B.H., taken after the names ofthe originators of the firm, Bradley, Barrows and Hall,and is known and appreciated, not only in this countiyand the Colonies ; but its world-wide fame has causedit to be eagerly sought after in all parts of the world,being preferred in Austraha and other Colonies beforeal
