Í 2008 herjaði ein ódn í Føroyum og í Skálavík vóru skaðarnir serliga stórir, bátarnir sum lógu í bátahylinum her vóru allir í knúsi, og fleiri av teimum lógu uppi á landi. Her var sera nógvur uppgangur, sum førdi bátarnar upp á land.
