Summary

Description

PZ865 was the last of the 14,533 Hurricanes built and was initially retained by Hawkers, later being civil registered as G-AMAU. She is now operated by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and carries a different colour scheme every few years, sadly without her famous “Last of the Many” title. As of 2021 she wears a night-fighter colour scheme originally carried by ‘BE634’, a 247 Squadron Hurricane IIc which operated from RAF Exeter in Devon and RAF Predannack in Cornwall during 1942. She is seen (in a very dull sky) while carrying out a ‘flypast’ routine at the Shuttleworth Collection’s 2021 Military Airshow Old Warden, Bedfordshire, UK
