Description
English: Hedel Pontoon bridge after it got winches which allowed electrical operation. In May 1928 the pontoon bridge got electrically operated winches which allowed to take out the center section, so ships could pass. Before, this had to be done manually.

Schipbrug bij Hedel met de beide bedieningshuisjes, 1928-07-07

De schipbrug van Hedel uit 1861 werd altijd met de hand bediend. Dat gebeurde door 1 sectie van 3 pontons handmatig er uit te halen, en na passage van schepen weer terug te plaatsen. Met de door HEEMAF aangebrachte elektrische aangedreven lier installatie konden snel twee secties uitgedreven en teruggeplaatst worden.
