Hirundo rustica (Carl Linnaeus, 1758)

English: The image shows a barn swallow when feeding her young in the nest in the Wisentgehege Springe game park near Springe, Hanover, Germany. The barn swallow (Hirundo rustica) is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts, a long, deeply forked tail and curved, pointed wings. It is found in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Deutsch: Die Rauchschwalbe (Hirundo rustica) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Schwalben (Hirundinidae). Das Bild zeigt eine Rauchschwalbe beim Füttern ihrer Jungen im Nest in dem Wisentgehege Springe bei Springe in der Region Hannover, Deutschland.
