English: This photo was taken at Sandia National Laboratories on July 20, 2015, during on-sun testing of the falling particle receiver, which is being developed to attain higher temperatures (700 C) and greater overall efficiencies with solarized supercritical carbon-dioxide Brayton power cycles.
