SR Maunsell "LN" 4-6-0 No.850 Lord Nelson in what appears to be 1938 Bulleid livery of Malachite Green with black & yellow lining at Bristol Temple Meads on the Cathedrals Express from Victoria, 4/07. However, Bullied liveries had the number on the cab side not the tender (that was Maunsell's pattern) and the lettering is in Maunsell not Bulleid style. Moreover, the 1938 standard livery had the smoke deflectors in green, not black, and the cylinders were black not green. Possibly, Lord Nelson is finished in one of the experimental/trial liveries Maunsell and Bulleid tried in the 1937 transition period when Bulleid was appointed CME in May yet Maunsell did not retire until October. It could be the "light olive" livery, though looks too bright to be that.
