Summary

Description
English: The home of Sir Adam Ferguson and his brothers and sisters between 1818-1834. Now a wing of the Borders Hospital, Melrose. Sir Adam Ferguson was a close friend of Sir Walter Scott and Deputy Keeper of the Scottish Regalia. This house was purchased by Scott for Sir Adam and his family. Such was the bond of friendship Scott only asked that they pay the window tax each year.
