Description
English: Engraved by Johan Stenglin after the original oil portrait by G-C. Grooth. Grooth painted his portrait not later than 1748, when Lestocq was banished from St.Petersburg (Grooth himself died soon). Stenglin worked in the 1760s, and the print was, most likely, commissioned not earlier than 1763 (when Lestocq was pardoned).
