Deutsch: Ein wesentliches Merkmal der U-Bahnhöfe der Independent war ihre großzügige Konzeption. Fast alle unterirdischen Stationen hatten ein durchgehendes Zwischengeschoss über die volle Länge der Bahnsteige hinweg. Viele wurden jedoch irgendwann aus Sicherheitsgründen zugemauert oder durch Gitter abgetrennt.
(Der Ort der Aufnahme ist unbekannt.) English: A characteristic feature of the IND was its large-scale construction. Almost all stations beneath surface had a full-length mezzanine. Due to security problems, most of them have been walled or fenced off. (Location is unknown.) |
