Italiano: Un fenomeno caratteristico del lago di Posta Fibreno, forse unico in Europa, è la presenza di un'isola galleggiante o come viene chiamata localmente “ La Rota”. Si tratta di un piccolo isolotto galleggiante di forma circolare che si sposta all’interno di uno specchio d’acqua, collegato al lago da alcuni canali.

Lo spostamento viene generato da due fattori: l’azione combinata del vento e il cambiamento della portata delle sorgenti sotterranee presenti sul fondo. Questo movimento, durante le giornate di forte vento, è possibile seguirlo ad occhio nudo.

La “Rota”, così chiamata localmente per la sua forma rotonda, ha un diametro di circa trenta metri. Nella parte centrale ha uno spessore di circa quattro metri. Si presenta come un cono con la punta rivolta verso il basso:quasi certamente venne originata da un’eccezionale corrente sotterranea che fece sollevare il fondo di torba, da quasi nove metri sotto il livello dell’acqua, più di 2000 anni fa.
