Title
... En l'année 1649.
Description
English: Title print (in a set of 11 prints, first published in 1649), depicting the Palais d'Orléans (Luxembourg Palace) in Paris; architecture engraved by Jean Marot, the small figures and the banner with the Orléans coat of arms, by Stefano della Bella, after a drawing by Israël Silvestre (according to Faucheux 1856–1858, p. 155). Alexandre de Vesme (Alessandro Baudi di Vesme), who prepared a 1906 catalogue of Della Bella's engravings (reprinted by Massar in 1971), finds the attribution by Faucheux to Silvestre difficult to accept (Vesme 1906, p. 227).
