JOHN DRINKER BUILT THE HOUSE IN 1815. HE WAS A QUAKER PORTRAIT ARTIST FROM PHILADELPHIA. THE HOUSE WAS REPUTED TO BE USED ON THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD
