Description

Scotland. James VI of Scotland (James I of England). 1567-1625.

AV Unite or Sceptre (10.00 gm). Tenth coinage, struck 1609-1625.
Half-length armored figure of king right, wearing Scottish crown and holding orb and sceptre; mm: thistle
Crowned coat-of-arms dividing I R, Scottish arms in 1st and 4th quarters; same mm.
Burns II pg. 434, 4 (figure 990); SCBC 5464.
Good VF, a bit of die rust.
