Jesmond Dene is one of the Ouseburn Parks, near Jesmond in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Land was given to William Armstrong as a wedding present in 1835. He planted hundreds of shrubs and laid miles of paths, built a grotto, many bridges and a waterfall on the Ouse Burn. Today it is a public park. It was refurbished with a Heritage Lottery. Grant. Visitors to Pets Corner are two Alpaca.
