Summary

Description
English: Studio portrait of 98 Private (Pte) James Henry Bonella, 21st Battalion, of Avenel, Victoria. A picture-frame maker prior to enlistment on 18 January 1915, Pte Bonella suffered gunshot wounds to the thigh on the 19th of May 1918 and died of his injuries five days later, aged 33. He is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery.
