English: Jo Yardley stands on a Virtual Reality recreation of Unter den Linden in Berlin as it might have looked in 1929 with in the background the Kaufhaus des Westens, Hotel Adlon, the Graf Zeppelin and the Brandenburg Gate.
It is part of The 1920s Berlin Project, an educational roleplaying community in the online virtual world of Second Life. This sim (short for simulation) allows people from all over the world to explore Pre-Nazi era Berlin. The project was build and is managed by Jo Yardley. |
