Description
English: Miniature of poet and politician John Hoskins (1566-1638), by the miniaturist of the same name John Hoskins (d. 1664). Whitlock writes: "This professional portrait gives us a sense of strength and vitality [in Hoskins], but it flatters John in a way that his own self portrait does not." (p. 534)
