En términos de importacia y glamour puede ser vista como la homóloga de Istiklal Cad. en el lado europeo. La avenida recorre 6 km desde Bostancı hasta Kızıltoprak, prácticamente paralela con la línea de costa del Mar de Mármara, dentro del distrito de Kadıköy.
