DescriptionKebun Raya Bali Candi Bentar IMG 8794.jpg
English: The Bentar monument (candi bentar) makes up the main gate of the Bali Botanic Garden. The shape of the split gate symbolises two large doors (Kori Agung). The Bentar monument also symbolises a mountain.
On the main gate walls are reliefs of Indonesian flora and fauna symbolising the harmony between nature and human relationships (the Balinese Hindu community). The plant carvings include flowers of ixora, pandan, rice, cotton, coconut, ferns, grass and foliage. The animal carvings include elephants, lions, tigers, deer, monkeys, birds, bats, cows, pigs and dragons.
