Description

La chapelle de la Réconciliation a été conçue par les architectes Reitermann et Sassenroth. Elle se trouve sur l'emplacement d'une église évangélique détruite par le régime socialiste de RDA en 1985 car elle était située trop près du mur.

Le centre d'information du Mur (Dokumentation Berliner Mauer) est situé Bernauer Strasse, une rue coupée en deux par le Mur devenue un symbole.

Une portion de Mur de 300 m a été laissée en l'état (deux murs parallèles séparés par un couloir recouvert de sable), deux plaques d'acier perpendiculaires délimitent la partie conservée.

Un centre d'information, doté d'une tour d'observation, a été ouvert en face de ce lieu de mémoire.
