Cette reconstitution scientifique d'un bourg médiéval du Piémont a été réalisée sur les bords du Po, à Turin, à l'occasion de l'Exposition générale italienne artistique et industrielle de 1884. Devant l'intérêt du public, le bourg a été conservé et fait partie de l'offre culturelle de la ville.
