DescriptionLodge at the gates of Hall Barn, porch with 'barley sugar' columns-geograph-3448897-by-Stefan-Czapski.jpg
English: Lodge at the gates of Hall Barn: porch with 'barley sugar' columns. This lodge at the gates to Hall Barn is a curious little folly, which Professor Pevsner (in the Buckinghamshire volume of 'The Buildings of England') describes as follows: 'Its surfaces are encrusted with panels which originally formed Gothic bench ends, Early Renaissance panelling from walls or bedsteads, etc'.
