« C’est entre 1898 et 1911 que le banquier Edward Clouston fait construire cette maison, dont les plans sont attribués aux architectes Georges C. Shattuck et Edward Maxwell. Le bâtiment, érigé à l’entrée d’un vaste domaine, est alors destiné à servir de loge au gardien. Il est notamment caractérisé à l’étage par des colombages décoratifs. »
