| Description |
English: Lopranseiði is on the west coast of the island Suðuroy in Faroe Islands. Lopranseiði is located west of the village Lopra, which is between Sumba and Vágur. The view towards Beinisvørð is amazing. In 1742 a Dutch ship called Westerbeek went shipwreck south of Lopranseiði, on the rocks in the sea, which can be seen on this photo.
Føroyskt: Lopranseiði er vestanfyri bygdina Lopra í Suðuroynni. Útsýni móti Beinisvørð er frálíkt. Í 1742 sigldi eitt hollendskt skip, Westerbeek, á land beint sunnanfyri Lopranseiði. Umleið 10 mans doyðu, men hinir 80 kláraðu tað við at klintra upp eftir lodrætta berginum. Nakrir ungir sterkir mans fóru fyrstir upp og brúktu nakrar árar, sum teir bundu saman, síðan gingu nakrir mans til Vágs at heinta hjálp og nakrir gingu til Sumbiar, ongin búði í Lopra tá. |
