Summary

Description Lot-6066-10: American Expeditionary Forces, WWI. German pilot, Lieutenant Karl Thom, who reputed to have shot down Lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt during the operations at Chateau Thierry in 1918. Thom was among the pilots who delivered the surrendered airplanes to our Air Forces at Coblentz immediately after the Armistice. Note, Thom never claimed the kill. William Mitchell Collection.
