Українська: 1. Бюст М.І. Пирогова у військовому госпіталі, заснованому у 1900-1910 роках у фортеці Святої Єлизавети в Єлисаветграді (нині Кропивницький, обласний центр України). Пирогов Микола Іванович (1810-1881) – видатний російський хірург, анатом і педагог. Засновник атласа топографічної анатомії людини, засновник військово-польової хірургії, започаткував використання анастезії при оперативних втручаннях. Член-кореспондент Петербурзької академії наук. З 1855 року жив та працював на території сучасної Україні, в теперішніх Одеській, Київській та Вінницький областях.
English: The bust of N.I. Pirogov at the territory of military hospital established in the years of 1900-1910 within Saint Elizabeth fortress in Elisavetgrad (now Kirovograd, regional centre in Ukraine). Nikolay Ivanovich Pirogov (1810-1881) is a prominent Russian scientist, physician, medical doctor, pedagogue, public figure and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1847). He is the founder of field surgery, one of the first surgeons in Europe to use ether as an anaesthetic. He was the first surgeon to use anaesthesia in a field operation (1847), invented various kinds of surgical operations, and developed his own technique of using plaster casts to treat fractured bones. Since the year of 1855 he has lived and worked in Ukraine, at current territory of Kyiv, Odessa and Vinnytsia regions
