Summary

Description
English: Growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis on Löwenstein-Jensen (A) and Ogawa medium (B), 6 weeks at 37°C. The smooth and rough growth form of the colonies. In the example shown the colonies are buff coloured. Younger colonies are paler (D) and the color may intensify with the increasing age of the culture (G).The colony morphology may vary when different formulations of solid media are used. M.tuberculosison Löwenstein-Jensen (left) and Ogawa slants (C). In liquid medium, M.tuberculosisoften exhibits serpentinite cording (H).

Summary

Description
Čeština: Mycobacterium tuberculosis na Löwenstein-Jensenově (A) and Ogawově půdě (B, D, E, F, G), kultivace 6 týdnů, 37°C. Hladká (A) a drsná (B) forma kolonií. Kolonie na fotografiích mají světle žluté až světle hnědé zbarvení. Starší kolonie mohou mít více nahnědlý odstín (G). Morfologie kolonií může být odlišná u různých kmenů a také v závislosti na složení kultivačního média. Odlišný charakter růstu bývá například u Löwenstein-Jensenovi půdy s glycerolem (viz obr A) a pyruvátem. Löwenstein-Jensenova a Ogawova půda jsou příkladem kultivačních médií s obsahem vaječných žloutků, bez přídavku agaru. Vzhledově jsou neodlišitelné (C, zelený uzávěr L-J, modrý Ogawa). V tekutých médiích vykazuje řada kmenů tvorbu provazců (cording).
