Description
English: Photograph of the men's barracks of the St. Louis Poor House (historic), with tables along one side of the hall and cots on the other, above which coats and other personal belongings hang. The room is very long, has wood floors along with wooden panelled ceilings and walls and early twentieth century electric lighting. Taken by a staff member of the St. Louis Water Division on April 7, 1904. Digitised from a glass plate negative and made available online by St. Louis Public Library's Digital Collections.
