Description
English: This image shows exposures of the Mancos Shale at its type location just north of the town of Mancos, Colorado. The formation is middle to late Cretaceous in age (110 to 80 Mya) and is one of the most widespread formations of the western United States, deposited across the Western Interior Seaway.
