She was the daughter and heiress of John Campbell, 3rd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland by his first wife Lady Amabel Grey (d.1726/7)[1], a daughter of Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Kent, 1st Marquess of Kent, 12th Earl of Kent, 2nd Baron Lucas of Crudwell, KG, by his first wife Jemima Crewe (d.1728), 1st dau. and cohrss. of Thomas Crewe, 2nd Baron Crewe.
