English: The Matagorda County Monument on the courthouse grounds in Bay City, Texas United States is an 8-foot-tall pink granite slab commemorative memorial with a bronze plaque, designed by architects Page and Southerland and sculptor Raoul Josset. It was commissioned for the 1936 Texas Centennial and installed in 1937. The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 19, 2018. |
