Summary

Description

A memristor computer memory device that is enabled by an atomically-thin layer of coal-derived carbon manufactured by NETL.

The coal-based memristors outperform systems made with conventional metals oxides and carbon materials. Memristors made with coal-derived carbons have far-better energy efficiency and reliability than previous materials and approaches investigated for this application.
