Mirza Ghalib (Urdu: مرزا غالب; Hindi: मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब) born Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan (Urdu/Persian: مرزا اسد اللہ بیگ خان), on 27 December 1797 – died 15 February 1869),[1] was a classical Urdu and Persian poet from Mughal Empire during British colonial rule. He used his pen-names of Ghalib
He is buried in Nizammudin.His mazar is a protected monument.
