Multiple_personality_awareness_symbol,_403x289_transparent.gif (403 × 289 pixels, file size: 11 KB, MIME type: image/gif)

This symbol image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Multiple personality awareness symbol, 403x289 transparent.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description
English: The developers of this symbol are activists wishing to promote awareness that multiple personality (Dissociative Identity Disorder) is a real condition and that multiples can live productive lives. The symbol is meant, like Gerald Holtom's famous peace symbol, to be used freely and without copyright or trademark restrictions of any kind. It can be changed, colored, used on merchandise, etc. Mental health professionals now often guide DID clients to find ways to coexist and develop crisis management skills, rather than integrating differentiated which can leave the client feeling that these parts have "died".[1]
