The multiplier effect, illustrated by Keynesian economics, as brought about by a rise in investment from I1 to I2. Assumes a three sector economy, i.e. no government or overseas sector. Y = income, AE = aggregate expenditure, I = investment, S = savings, AE = aggregate expenditure and AS = aggregate supply.
