Français : L'Enfant Jésus vient de naître. Il est nu, offert sans défense au centre de la toile sous le regard des adultes, rayonnant sur son lange étincelant de blancheur comme sur un linceul, donné à voir, à adorer sur son autel de paille. De ses yeux imprécis de nourrisson il guette la contemplation étonnée de sa mère: le visage pâli de Marie en est tout illuminé, mieux, c'est l'Enfant qui dépose sur les joues de sa Mère le rose et la chaleur d'un amour sans limites. L'Enfant nu éclaire et réchauffe les visages des bergers, de Joseph en retrait et méditatif, et même de la vieille femme derrière qui vient d'assister, peut-être, à cette naissance improbable.
English: The child Jesus is born. He was naked, completely helpless in the center of the canvas under the watchful eyes of adults, beaming on his diaper sparkling white as a shroud, to be seen, to worship at the altar of straw. In his eyes he watches imprecise infant contemplation surprised his mother's pale face of Mary is lit, the better is the child who files on his mother's cheeks pink and the warmth of love limitless.
