Torr Vale Mill is in "The Torrs', a gorge through Woodhead Hill Sandstone in New Mills, a village in the Peak District. It lies in a loop in the River Goyt. downstream from the confluence with the River Sett. Over the river is railway and the Millenium walkway. Looking across weir to Old Mill, with Cotton Mill behind. In the foreground is the start of the walkway
