Summary
DescriptionNewberry Springs Bagdad Cafe; Avril 2012.jpg |
English: Bagdad cafe was founded in 1883 when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad line between Barstow and Needles was built. At this time, Baghdad provided services to the Orange Blossom Mine several miles to the north and the War Eagle Mine several miles to the south; Newberry Springs. Additionally, a dirt road extended south past the War Eagle Mine to the Dale mining district in the Pinto Mountains. Originally established as Sidewinder Café, the restaurant changed its name after the motion picture Bagdad Café was filmed here.
