Summary

Description

c/n 88-15055 Built as an AT-6D with the US military serial 41-33949. Transferred to the Fleet Air Arm as EX976 and shipped to India where it was stored until at least August 1946. It was at Renfrew, Glasgow, by January 1947 but still stored and was cocooned at RNAS Arbroath in October 1949. In early 1956 it was revived and transferred to the Portuguese Air Force with the serial 1657. It was returned to the UK in 1979 aboard a Portuguese C-130 and repainted in Royal Navy colours. Seen on display (despite building renovations) in Hall 2 of the Fleet Air Arm Museum RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, UK.
