TYPICAL STRATIFICATION AND DIP. miles. What with its southern exposure, the protec-tion from the wind afforded by the cliffs and bluffswhich enclose it, and the warmth of colouring of itsshores, it presents one of the most desirable locationsfor a house. The scenery is also varied and attract-ive, offering to the eye greater contrasts, with lesschange of position, than any other locality occurringto me. Around the circuit of the bay are sevenglaciers with exposures to all points of the compass,and varying in size from a few hundred feet to overtwo miles in width.
