Description This is Ottawa's oldest church, built on the site of St. Jacques Church, demolished in 1841. The original design was to be Neoclassical, but after the lower section was built, a Neo-Gothic design was adopted instead. The main structure was finished in 1846, but the spires were not installed until 1866.
