DescriptionNumber of sentences per article at the English Wikipedia.png
English: This chart used a sample of 10,000 articles at the English Wikipedia, as posted at w:en:User:BilledMammal/Average articles. Standard statistical calculations determined that an article length in excess of 1770 words and/or 67 sentences represented a statistical outlier. All outliers (less than 10%) were removed from the set. This chart is made from the remaining articles and shows the number of articles that have a given number of sentences in the remaining articles. For example, there are 237 articles with 1 sentence, 787 articles with 2 sentences, 614 with 3 sentences, 491 with four sentences, 478 with five sentences, etc., down to 13 articles with 67 sentences. The median in this set is 13 sentences before removing outliers, and 11 sentences after removing outliers.
