English: This image shows an outcrop of the Ojo Caliente Member of the Tesuque Formation exposed in the flank of Black Mesa at Embudo Station, New Mexico, USA. The Tesuque Formation is part of the Santa Fe Group, a group of formations filling the Rio Grande rift. The Ojo Caliente Member is eolian sand deposited in a dune field between about 10 and 14 million years ago. |
