| Inscription | In this OLD ST. JOSEPH CHURCH, founded in 1871, Bernard Henry Pennings and his fellow sons of St. Nortbert from Berne Abbey in Holland were installed September 28, 1898, and became the first permanent body of Canons Regular of Premontre on the American Continent.
Around this hallowed sanctuary St. Norbert College came into being October 10, 1898, and was fostered over the years by the Norbertine Fathers. |
