English: The disused Otter Dock and Ernest Road (renamed Colham Ave in 1938) taken sometime between 1900 and 1909. The photograph is facing south-east with the Yiewsley Baptist Tabernacle on the right side of the picture. The Tabernacle was opened in June 1900 and was situated on the corner of Providence Road. A newspaper report in the Middlesex & Buckinghamshire Advertiser of 3 April 1909 states that a Mr Winter said "with regard to Ernest Road, the cartage for filling in the Dock had greatly damaged the road." Therefore it is highly likely that the section of the Otter Dock in the photograph had been filled in in the Spring of 1909.
