Special Colloquium of the Physics departement with Alain Aspect, 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics Le prix Nobel de physique 2022 a été attribué au Français Alain Aspect, à l’Américain John F. Clauser et à l’Autrichien Anton Zeilinger, a annoncé l’Académie royale des sciences de Suède. Le trio est récompensé pour ses découvertes sur l’intrication quantique, un mécanisme où deux particules quantiques sont parfaitement corrélées, quelle que soit la distance qui les sépare, a expliqué le jury Nobel. La mise en évidence de cette étonnante propriété a ouvert la voie à de nouvelles technologies dans l’informatique quantique et des communications ultrasécurisées, ou encore les capteurs quantiques ultrasensibles qui permettraient des mesures extrêmement précises, comme celle de la gravité dans l’espace. Né en 1947, Alain Aspect est un ancien élève de l'École Normale Supérieure (ENS) Cachan et de l'Université Paris-Saclay. Il a occupé des postes à l'Institut d'Optique, à l'ENS Yaoundé (Cameroun), à l'ENS Cachan, à l'ENS/Collège de France, et au CNRS.
